Entertainers Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Burning Spear, Collie Buddz, Julian Marley and Antaeus are the nominees for Best Reggae Album at the 66th Grammy Awards.

The nominations were announced a short while ago.

This marks Beenie Man’s fourth nomination, following Many Moods Of Moses, The Doctor, and Art and Life, which won the Grammy Award back in 2001.

Simma, which features collaborations from Shaggy, Sean Paul, Louie Culture, Superstar, HoodCelebrityy, Charly Blacks, Dexta Daps, Shenseea as well as international stars Stonebwoy and Mya, is Beenie Man’s 17th studio album.

Three years after his last nomination in 2020 with the album ‘Upside Down,’ Buju Banton again makes the cut with his project ‘Born For Greatness.’ Released on September 8, the 17-track album is Banton’s 12th.

Burning Spear earned his 13th nomination for his album ‘Destroyer,’ boasting two wins, including ‘Jah Is Real,’ over a decade ago. Julian Marley and Antaeus, as well as Collie Buddz, have also been nominated for their albums: ‘Colors of Royal’ and ‘Cali Roots Riddim 2023,’ respectively.

The final round of voting is expected to take place between December 14, 2023, and January 4, 2024.

The winners in each Grammy category will be announced on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+, with the annual Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony preceding the event.
