Threwth (pronounced truth) had no intentions of getting into music until he had an encounter with God.

“I had no interest in music until now. I really wasn’t doing any songs, and when [I got] an encounter with God, was when I decided to follow his message and to talk to people in a unique way,” Threwth shared in an interview with the Jamaica Observer on Friday.

The artiste recently released the seven-song EP titled Talk Threwth.

On November 11 he hosted a promotional campaign for the EP, which was held at recording studio The Compound on Molynes Road in St Andrew.

Among those in attendance from the gospel fraternity were Prince Saj, Mykal Malachi, and Jim Radical.

Talk Threwth features the songs Hosanna, Anointing featuring Mykal Malachi, Protection, Anuh Me Alone, Word Up, Inna My Heart, and A Just Di World.

Threwth and engineer Lamar Thompson produced the album, with Thompson mixing and mastering the songs.

Said Threwth: “A lot of prayer went into creating this body of work, and really and truly these songs came by revelation. Lamar helped me with vocalising, and the songs just came to me naturally.”

It was in 2013 that Threwth, whose real name is Adrian Malonie, gave his life to Christ and became a born-again Christian.

“I was passing a church and heard the pastor preaching and I stopped and looked. There was this altar call, and the pastor said to me that he will pray for me. I then got a vision that impacted me, and from there I got baptised,” Threwth recalled.

A barber by profession, the artiste hails from the community of Gutters in St Catherine.

He worships at Time Prayer Line Church of God.
