Romeich, Pickney Pampering to gift 300 kids for Christmas
Businessman and artiste manager, Romeich Major is getting ready to give back in a huge way this Christmas. In a post made to his official Instagram page earlier this week, Major showcased a room full of toys and treats which he says he intends to distribute to Children’s Homes across the island.
“Although we don’t have a chimney for Santa Claus to come down, the children right across Jamaica will still get nuff toys this Christmas once Major Marketing is around,” he captioned a video of the room fully stocked with toys.
“Thanks to the elves in the big toy workshop over at Pickney Pampering, Major Marketing has committed to gifting 300 kids living in Children’s Homes across Jamaica with toys and niceness starting December 10.”
Highlighting that “everybody deserves to get nice things, especially at Christmas time,” Major urged his friends and colleagues in the industry, as well as corporate Jamaica, to chip in on the gift-giving this season.
Requesting that interested persons send him a message on Instagram or via email, Major said he is hoping that with a little more help, the initiative can grow into something much bigger as he wants to put smiles on as many faces as possible this Christmas.
This is not the first time that Major has shown off his philanthropic ways. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the artiste manager again partnered with Pickney Pampering to gift more than 30 children at Miracle Tabernacle off Bay Farm Road in St Andrew gift packages. That effort, coupled with many other give-back initiatives, earned Major the nickname ‘Jamaican Santa Claus.’
Highlighting that Christmas was never much of an exciting time for him growing up, Major at the time, shared that his parents would usually be occupied with work during the holidays. He expressed that it wasn’t until he stepped into adulthood that he really started to enjoy the season and vowed to make the holidays enjoyable for other children in any way he could.
