KINGSTON, Jamaica – A week after the release of his sophomore album, G.O.K (Generation of Kings), dancehall star Masicka is dominating the local YouTube trending list.

The Def Jam Records artiste occupies the top three spots on the chart, all with new tracks from the freshly-released album.

Triumph, a collaboration which sees Masicka joining forces with Lila Ike and fellow dancehall artiste Chronic Law, is atop the chart. Reverse Time follows in second with Stars R Us, a collaboration with Popcaan, sitting in the number three position.

Since its release, Triumph, which has received rave reviews from listeners, is racing towards the million views mark on the streaming platform. Meanwhile, Reverse Time and Stars R Us are nearing the half-a-million views mark.

Following up on his critically acclaimed 438 album, Masicka released G.O.K last Friday. Hours after its release, the album was not only trending on Twitter but knocked Bob Marley’s Legend album out of the top spot on the US Reggae iTunes Chart.
