Fantastic Terrelonge bounds to 100m PB at Pure Water meet

Edwin Allen Hig’s Theianna-Lee Terrelonge illuminated the track during the JC/Pure Water meet at the Richard Ashenheim Stadium, delivering a remarkable personal best time to clinch victory in the girls’ Class Two 100m event.

The 16-year-old Terrelonge, a first-year Class Two athlete, clocked an impressive lifetime best of 11.30 seconds, surpassing her previous record of 11.41.

Not only did she achieve a personal best, but she also shattered the meet record of 11.92. Sabrina Dockery of Lacovia High secured second place with a time of 11.45, while Shanoya Douglas from Muschette claimed third with a time of 11.70.

Terrelonge expressed satisfaction with her performance.

“It was a performance I was expecting. I trained hard, and with the motivation from my coach, this time was highly expected. I am looking at 11.4 or 11.5 to start the season, but 11.3, I am feeling great about it,” she said

Anticipating a stellar season, Terrelonge attributed her confidence to her training regimen and coach.

“I am expecting great performances this year from myself because I am very confident due to the training that I am doing and the type of coach that I have; anything is possible,” she said.
