SAN JOSE, San Francisco — Samsung Electronics on Wednesday unveiled its eagerly awaited Galaxy S24 series which is powered by artificial intelligence (AI), marking a ground-breaking transformation in mobile devices worldwide.

The new mobile experiences feature the GalaxyS24, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and GalaxyS24.

Galaxy AI enhances various aspects, from communication with intelligent translations to revolutionising search and limitless creativity in photography.

Speaking at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics expressed excitement about how Galaxy AI will empower users globally.

“The Galaxy S24 series transforms our connection with the world and ignites the next decade of mobile innovation,” he said.

“We’re excited to see how our users around the world empower their everyday lives with Galaxy AI to open up new possibilities,” he added.

Juliano Vingilis Batista, Product Director of Samsung Latin America introduced the new and exciting AI features in an exclusive content capture session.

“Latin America & the Caribbean region are among the highest users of social networks and so we created these features with that in mind,” he said.

Among the top features set to improve everyday life is the introduction of Live Translate for real-time voice and text translations, breaking language barriers effortlessly. Imagine not having to use cellular data to experience split-screen translations during live phone conversations, currently available in 13 languages.

Galaxy S24 is changing the way individuals search online with its latest feature Circle to Search, in collaboration with Google. Users can circle, highlight and tap on the screen for instant, high-quality search results. Generative AI-powered overviews provide context, making searches more informative and detailed.

Chat Assist improves conversation styles, offering suggestions to better the way you text, even including hashtags and emojis while Samsung Keyboard translates messages in real-time.

With Transcript Assist and Note Assist, taking meeting notes just got easier. These features work hand in hand to offer organisations with AI-generated summaries, templates, and cover creation in Samsung Notes.

The ProVisual Engine in the Galaxy S24 series gives a complete transformation of the camera experience. Image capturing will now feature Quad Tele System, Nightography, and Super HDR. The 5x optical zoom lens and Adaptive Pixel Sensor in the Galaxy S24 Ultra deliver exceptional performance, even at 100x digital zoom.

Nightography enhances low-light photography, the most advanced on the tech market, while AI-powered editing tools like Edit Suggestion and Generative Edit offer creative freedom like no other.

The devices boast premium processor performance with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, offering adaptive refresh rates, and enhanced gaming capabilities. The brightest Galaxy display on the market, reaching 2,600nit peak brightness, ensures vibrant visuals.

Security and privacy are prioritised with Samsung Knox, providing defence-grade protection. Users have control over data usage for AI features through Advanced Intelligence settings. Passkeys offer secure access, and Enhanced Data Protection ensures end-to-end encryption for data backup.

Galaxy S24 focuses on environmental sustainability, incorporating recycled materials like plastics, glass, aluminium, cobalt, and rare earth elements. Samsung commits to seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates, emphasising product lifecycle extension.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a titanium frame for enhanced durability, while the streamlined design of the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 offers elegance. The series comes in Earth mineral-inspired colour tones, reflecting Samsung’s commitment to precision by technology and environmental consciousness.
