AFTER two races in Overnight Allowance company Rhythm Buzz appears to be on track for his first win at this level when he competes in the $1.25-million Bonnie Blue Flag Trophy at Caymanas Park this afternoon.

Rhythm Buzz stepped up to this grade for the first time on January 1 in a nine furlongs and 25 yards (1,820m) race in which he finished fifth by 11 lengths behind
Neo Star and
Sensational Move. That move followed a fast 1:37.4 win at a distance of a mile (1,600m) on December 17.

The Vincent Atkinson trainee reappeared on January 6, coming from nowhere to finish second by five lengths to
Yellowstone on the straight (1,000m) track.

Now returning at seven and a half furlongs (1,500m) to compete for this trophy race,
Rhythm Buzz, who is very much comfortable at the distance, is going to take a lot of beating here. Javaniel Patterson remains in the saddle on
Rhythm Buzz.

Sunset Silhoutte, Sonny T and Chipp, and
Get A Pepsi should give
Rhythm Buzz the greatest challenge here.

The three-year-old and upward race is positioned as the ninth and final event on the day with a post time of 5:10 pm. First race is at high noon.

Sunset Silhoutte has performed admirably in her races, finishing second five times from her last 10 starts at this level. Sunset Silhoutte, who finished ahead of
Rhythm Buzz in the nine-furlong, and 25-yard event on January 1, should not be overlooked in this regard.

Sonny T and Chippy ran a close second to
Sistren Treasure over one mile on December 16. The five-year-old horse led for a long distance until being passed by the winner in deep stretch so
Sonny T and
Chippy are expected to make a valiant effort.

Get A Pepsi has had four runs already at this level, with a couple of third-place finishes. His last two runs were off-the-board finishes but, based on previous runs, he should be bang in contention here.

Johncrowjeff, The Good Witch, Gambler, Justin Biden, Big Big Daddy, Babylike, and
Zion make up the 12-horse field.
