Three juveniles among five arrested in connection with gun, ammo find in Old Harbour

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Five individuals, including three juveniles and a female, are now in police custody after three firearms were found in a car they were travelling in.

According to the Old Harbour Police, explosions were heard in Old Harbour Bay shortly after 3:00 am on Sunday morning. Responding to the gunfire, the police mounted a roadblock in the area and the car was stopped and searched.

Three firearms, along with a magazine fitted with ammunition, were reportedly discovered in the vehicle.

The identities of those arrested have not yet been released.

Investigations are ongoing.
