Three alleged goat thieves arrested in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Three men have been taken into custody on suspicion of being involved in praedial larceny following a police chase in Newport, Manchester on Tuesday.
A police source said about midday, a team was on patrol on Trowers Street when a Toyota Axio motor car was observed driving in a manner that aroused suspicion. The vehicle sped off and was chased by the police.
The vehicle was subsequently intercepted. Three men were seen aboard the vehicle. During a search a ram goat was found hidden inside the car.
The men were arrested and brought to the Mandeville police station lock-up.
