Many people might know the name Shane Creative for his work as director and videographer at the forefront of Jamaica’s entertainment industry. Additionally wearing the hat of philanthropist, he has embarked on a mission to give back to the community that shaped his artistic journey.

Recognising the pivotal role Grant’s Pen played in his life, Shane has launched the ‘Give Love Back Worldwide’ charity initiative, with a vision to bring joy and positive change to communities, starting with Grant’s Pen in St Andrew.

“I have always wanted to play my part in giving back to the communities that are in need. It really does bring a sense of fulfilment on my side to be able to help,” he told the
Jamaica Observer.

The Give Love Back Worldwide charity aims to make a significant impact in people’s lives.

Shane envisions this initiative launching an annual event, with aspirations to transition into a registered charity organisation and extend its reach to more communities.

“This is the first staging, but I plan to keep this going for many years to come,” he shared.

The primary focus of Give Love Back Worldwide is the children of Grant’s Pen. Shane and his dedicated team organised a successful back-to-school charity event, providing essential supplies, toys, shoes, and more to approximately 70 children in the community. The event also included the donation of basketball hoops, football goal posts, and other recreational items, fostering a sense of community and well-being.

The charity event featured rides, surprises, contests, and special appearances by distinguished dancehall artistes and personalities who shared encouraging words with the children.

The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with the positive feedback from the community, underscored the success of the event and its impact on Grant’s Pen.

Shane is the principal of Wikid Media, a company he started in 2017 which is responsible for directing videos for dancehall acts Squash, Daddy1, Chronic Law, Vybz Kartel, Jahvillani, Quada, and many others.

Looking ahead, Shane Creative is inviting individuals and businesses to join the movement by becoming sponsors. Contributions are welcomed to support charitable initiatives aimed at bringing joy and positive change to Grant’s Pen and beyond.
