Contract killer in Beachy Stout case brought son on murder mission

Telephone recordings played in open court on Wednesday during the murder trial of Everton “Beachy Stout” McDonald revealed that Denvalyn “Bubbla” Minott brought his son with him during attempts to kill the businessman’s wife, Tonia McDonald.

Minnott is serving a 19-year prison sentence for the July 20, 2020 murder of Tonia. He confessed to being the contractor in the killing and claimed that he subcontracted the murder to co-accused Oscar Barnes who Minott said killed the woman by himself.

The man he claimed gave him the $3 million contract to kill the woman was her husband, Beachy Stout.

In the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston on Wednesday, members of the seven-member jury perked up their ears to listen to roughly a dozen of 38 call recordings between Minott and another man said to be McDonald.

In one of the recordings, Minott told the man on the other end of the line that his son was in on the murder plot.

“A me and me son and me and the driver man. One a dem a my youth you see it,” he said.

After the man believed to be McDonald asked Minott if the son was trustworthy, Minott said, “him want money so me carry him pon work since him want money, but him can’t go pon nuh work, him alone. Everything good man. Mi can’t afford fi have him sidung a yard naa do nothing. Him come wid me if him want money. Mi tell him bout it and him seh alright and a suh mi see him shut out”.

McDonald replied, asking “Him can hold him mouth?”

Minott responded saying, “Yea man. A wah you a seh Beachy. A him have mi gun dem inuh Beachy. A him mi give dem fi put down”.

Being quizzed by McDonald who wanted to know how many people went to the house, Minott said, “A me, mi son and mi likkle cousin but the one who mi call mi likkle cousin a nuh really mi cousin. A mi driver”.

Minott went on to tell Beachy Stout that problem was brewing with the man he referred to as the cousin and driver.

“Him a frown pon mi right now because a three time now.”

McDonald responded saying, “wait nuh man, mi affi go pay dem. That’s all”.

Minott told McDonald that the driver had taken him to the location on three occasions and needed some money.

“Him a seh boy, him affi buy gas so mi seh nuh worry yourself, mi ago link my boss and mek him give me a money mek you buy some gas and gwaan do your thing.”

After numerous failed attempts to kill Tonia at the house, the plan changed and she was lured to Sherwood Forest in Portland where she was killed and her body burned.
