Rising artiste and producer Shamracq is banking on the success of his latest rhythm project, Bouyant rhythm, which was released on January 26.

The project features artistes such as Prohgres, Black Fyah, Bertus, Essae JV, Kryptic, and Shamracq himself.

“The Bouyant project shows my commitment to breaking new artistes, fostering talent, and contributing to the growth of the local music scene. That’s why I am working with these emerging artistes,” the producer-artiste Shamracq, whose real name is Shamar Gowe, said.

Breakout singer Black Fyah uses Nightmare to discuss the negative impact that a life of crime exerts on communities and uses soaring vocals to deliver a stirring call for peace and sanity, even as the nation’s homicide rate remains one of the highest in the region.

Talented artistes Kryptic and Prohgres team up to blend their singjay and hard core dancehall styles on Wul It to encourage listeners to rise above challenges and find hope in even the most difficult of times.

Shamracq uses the track Inevitable to delve into the struggles of everyday life and how a positive mindset can triumph over the greatest of obstacles.

Bertus examines Deadly Creatures as he zeroes in on the importance of personal growth and self-discovery as we navigate life.

Talented rookie Essae JV stresses the importance of maintaining a sense of peace and balance in daily life on I Smile.

Shamracq shot several videos for the projects which he will release over the next couple of weeks as he amps up promotion on the singles.

He got his breakout in 2013 with a soca song fused with his dancehall style that gave him the opportunity to travel to several Caribbean islands. The young producer-artiste first got recognition with his Brighter Day project in 2016, yet another collaborative effort involving various local artistes, where he showcased his additional skills such as video editing.

The project dominated local radio in Monstserrat and opened doors for him to land a position with the Montserrat Government, where he could utilise his video expertise for information and communications technology (ICT) programmes.

He returned to Jamaica in 2019 determined to use his skills to make a mark in local industry using his label to offer a wide range of services, including graphic designing, video editing, visual arts, and music production.

“Overall, Shamo Production is not just a label; it’s a platform for artistic collaboration, skill development, and community engagement,” Shamracq said.
