Protoje drops 30 Million track
Reggae singer-songwriter Protoje dropped his brand new
30 Million single on Friday along with a YouTube video.
Produced by IoTosh, the reggae fusion track digs deep as the In.Digg.Nation artiste flows about Jamaica’s state of affairs.
The Grammy-nominated militant crooner visits trending themes of violence and youth, poverty, and crisis.
“Yuh nuh, I’ve been able to witness the transformation of my country over the last 20 years and wanted to make a statement on the Jamaican situation. This song speaks about what is, what was, and what can be as it relates to the quality of life that we experience here in Jamaica,” the artiste is quoted in a release.
The 30 Million track is on the In.Digg.Nation Collective label under licence to Ineffable Records.
The video is directed by SAMO, who has also worked on Protoje’s
Late at Night and
Ten Cane Row projects.
The number 7th most streamed reggae artiste globally on Spotify 2023, Protoje ended the year touring Europe from Paris to Zurich, Geneva, Amsterdam, Vienna, Cologne, and beyond. He is continuing that trend for the new year already slated to perform at Cali Vibes in February before heading back to Europe.
He will host the Lost In Time Festival on February 24 this year at its Hope Gardens venue, featuring sultry songstress Khalia, Sevana, Jah9, and Lila Ike rounding out the females.
