Reggae Boyz to open World Cup second round play-offs at home
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will open their Concacaf World Cup play-offs at home against the Dominican Republic on Thursday, June 6. The match fixture was announced on Monday by Concacaf.
Jamaica, who were drawn in Group E for the second round of the qualifying rounds, will then play away to Dominica three days later on June 9 before the other two games some 12 months later.
The Reggae Boyz will travel to face the winners of the play-offs between the US Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands on June 7, 2025, before finishing at home on June 10 against Guatemala.
The draw should suit head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson, who said last week he would prefer playing the tougher teams at home.
The top two teams from each of the six second-round groups will advance to the third and final round to be played between September and November 2025.
