A quadruple spin for Bob

Bob Marley and the Wailers log four entries on this week’s Billboard Reggae Albums chart.

Aside from their long-running #1 streak with Legend (it has been #1 for the past 215 non-consecutive weeks), the legendary act re-enters at #4 with Exodus, a set which peaked at #3 in 2001.

Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by the Film), a various artistes set featuring covers of songs originally recorded by Marley, rises from #10 to #5, while Bob Marley: One Love (soundtrack), which features 17 songs previously recorded by Marley and the Wailers, moves from #9 to #6.

Elsewhere on the chart, Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul inches up from #3 to #2, while Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy dips from #2 to #3.

World on Fire by Stick Figure backtracks from #4 to #7 and Greatest Hits by UB40 is down three places to #8.

Stick Figure rounds out the top 10 with Set in Stone and Wisdom occupying #9 and #10 spots, respectively.

YG Marley continues to make moves on several charts with the reggae song Praise Jah in the Moonlight. The song bolts from #63 to #39 on the Billboard Hot 100, while inching up from #15 to #14 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart. It fares better on Global 200 Excluding US chart stepping up from #14 to #11.

On the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, YG Marley improves from #27 to #20, while on Emerging Artistes, he makes two steps up to #8.

Praise Jah in the Moonlight is #8 in the Netherlands, while in New Zealand, Beyonce cuts his reign at #1 as she takes over with
Texas Hold ‘Em.

In Norway, Praise Jah in the Moonlight is steady at #6, falls to #15 in Portugal, and moves up to #9 in Sweden.

In Brazil, the song is #59, while in the UK it inches down from #5 to #6. Over in Australia, the song is #18, while taking the #15 spot in Austria. Over in Belgium, it inches up to #17, #20 in Denmark, #4 in Iceland, #13 in Ireland and #11 in Luxembourg.

Drift by Teejay continues to experience a decline in rhythmic airplay, as it crashes from #34 to #40 in its 17th week on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.

Find Me Here (Blessings Find Me) by Trinidadian gospel reggae singer Sherwin Gardner dips from #23 to #26 on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Songs chart. It rises to a new peak at #23 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart, which uses the same methodology as the Billboard Hot 100, blending airplay, streaming and sales.

Moving now to regional reggae charts, Brutal by Mykal Rose spends a third week at #1 on the South Florida Reggae chart, while
Do Me Baby by Althea Hewitt inches up from #11 to #10.

New entries are Favourite Girl by Hopeton Lindo (#23) and I Love the Way by Novel-T (#25).

On the New York Reggae chart, All and All by Tanto Metro and Devonte registers a third week at #1, while Heart Beat by Richie Stephens moves in closer at #2.

Blessings by Taddy P and Red Fox steps up from #12 to #10, while My Journey by Shuga (#29) and Mi Nah Vote by Josey Wales (#30) are this week’s new entries.

Over on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart, RIP Fake Friends by Josemar remains on top for another week, while
Stir this Thing, the JUNO-nominated song by Ammoye featuring Turbulence, is #2.
