Roadway from Papine to Bull Bay to be closed on Sunday — NWA
The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising commuters that the roadway from Papine to Bull Bay will be closed on Sunday, March 17 to facilitate the replacement of a pipe culvert.
The closure will occur between the communities of Halls Delight and Lindos Gap, from 7 am to 6 pm.
“The culvert replacement is being done as part of a retaining wall construction project aimed at stabilising that section of the roadway. The project is valued at $14.6 million,” NWA said in a release.
It added: “There is no known alternative as the section of road leading to Bull Bay has been closed for some time due to a breakaway.”
As a result, the NWA is advising motorists to exercise caution if they need to use that area during the period of work and to obey the instructions of posted warning signs.
