TREVAUGHN Williams slammed a triple century as Tacky High School humbled visitors Munro College by 470 runs in the second round of the Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association/Grace Headley Cup cricket competition early last week.

Riding high on Williams’ 332 and Marlon Williams’ 62, Tacky High first piled up 564 for nine declared against Munro’s Demarco Brown who took four wickets for 100.

Munro then fell for 94, with Tacky High’s Romeo McDonald four for 26 and Jordan Pinnock with four for 31 doing the bulk of the damage.

At Clarendon College, defending champions St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) beat Clarendon College by 190 runs.

Odane Binns stroked 183 and Captain Tyriek Bryan, 70, as STETHS made 424 all out against the bowling of Jovannie Palmer, four for 134 and Dijuani West two for 47.

Driven by a fighting 116 from Kenardo Cameron, Clarendon College made 234 all out. Jahliel Smith four for 48 and Demitri Binns, two for 58, did most damage for STETHS.

At Manchester High, last season’s beaten finalists May Day High defeated former champions Manchester High by 15 runs.
May Day High first made 151 all out, with Javed Williams, 42 and Captain Christopher Lewis, 36, leading the way with the bat against Manchester High’s Matthew Morgan with six for 43.

Manchester High then fell short at 136 all out as Orane Wright top scored with 33. West Indies Under-19 fast bowling all-rounder Reon Edwards, with five for 35, and Lewis with five for 36, twirling his off breaks, bowled May Day to victory.
At Cornwall College, visiting Garvey Maceo High beat their hosts by seven wickets.

Cornwall College made 120 all out, with Shaya Samuels top scoring with 30 against Dontay Dillion’s six for 37. Garvey Maceo cruised to victory at 121 for three as Connell Jackson top-scored with 41.
