Get The Look: Cardi B’s Glass Skin
Make-up by Erika La Pearl on rap superstar Cardi B for the Enough (Miami) cover art.

Get The Look: Cardi B’s Glass Skin

CAPTIVATING CARDI Thank you to major #MUA @erika_lapearl_mua for the divine @maisonmargiela Artisanal 2024 recreation on @iamcardib! This cover is so ICONIC and I can’t wait to listen to Enough (Miami) this Friday. Sending love xx Pat

That was Mother Pat McGrath’s reaction, last Tuesday, to rap superstar Cardi B’s
Enough (Miami) cover art reveal, which features a nude Cardi lying across a white sofa with cascading tresses, and porcelain skin make-up by her key MUA Erika La Pearl.

Not to be confused with the glass skin trend, which involves cleansing the face and applying hydrating serums or essences, McGrath’s technique involves layers of make-up finished in a way to create a hyper-shiny glaze, mimicking the smooth, reflective quality of glass. The surreal effect recently helped the Maison Margiela Couture 2024 show — and its make-up magic — go viral!

Here’s how to serve Maison Margiela/Cardi B majorness!

Skin Prep – Divine Skin: Rose 001™ The Essence

Complexion – Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Primer, Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation, Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer, Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Loose Setting Powder, Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Powder

Cheeks & Highlighter – Heart’s Desire Collection: Skin Fetish: Sublime Skin Highlighter in Nude Opal, Divine Blush: Legendary Glow Colour Balm in Peach Lotus and Forbidden Fleur

Eyes – Mothership VI: Midnight Sun, Mothership I: Subliminal, Blitz Astral Quad: Nocturnal Nirvana, FetishEYES™ Mascara

Brows – Mothership I: Subliminal

Lips – LUST: Gloss™ in Nude Negligee, MatteTrance™ Lipstick in Beautiful Stranger, Guinevere or McMenamy
