#Champs2024: KC’s Campbell tops Class 3 boys’ 100mh prelims
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Orandy Campbell of Kingston College’s 13.30 seconds was the fastest qualifying time in the preliminary round of the Class 3 boys’ 100m hurdles at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships on Friday.
Rounding out the automatic qualifiers are Calabar’s Divondrae Matthews (13.34) and Ronaldino Barnett (13.39); Gregory Williams of Jamaica College (JC/13.44); KC’s Brandon Bennett (13.42); St Jago’s Raneil Burke (13.45); Wolmer’s Boys School’s Mark-Daniel Allen (13.40) and Vere Technical’s Jhabarie Whyte (13.55).
The eight athletes to advance based on time are Naethan Bryan of St George’s College (13.75); Excelsior’s Jaeden Campbell (13.90); JC’s Gianni Perry (14.02); Wolmerian Skye Marsh (14.28); Camperdown High’s Sandjae James (14.28); Cornwall College’s Dreyden Knight (14.38); Hanief Jones of Clarendon College (14.44) and St Elizabeth Technical’s De-Shawn Johnson (14.50).
The semis of the Class 3 boys’ 100mh is slated for Friday at 7:16 pm.
