Trisha’s Orchid Oasis

Trisha Williams-Singh, the proud owner of Orchids by Trish, owes her green thumb to her passion for orchids. These beautiful flowering plants require keen attention to live long lives, and Williams-Singh has the requisite patience, love and care to offer them.

Trisha’s 5 Tips for Healthy Orchids:

1. Regularly fertilise orchids to support healthy growth and blooming.

2. Treat orchids against fungi and insects with fungicide and insecticide to prevent infestations and diseases.

3. Understand the water needs of different orchid types; for example, Sun Vandas may require daily watering, if it does not rain often.

4. Remove dead or spent spikes from orchids to promote new growth and flowering.

5. Use materials like stones, coal, or moss instead of soil, as orchids do not grow in dirt.
