Domestic abuse allegations surfaces as divorce battle continues between rapper Jeezy and wife, Jeannie Mai
UNITED STATES – As the divorce between Jeannie Mai Jenkins and rapper Jeezy Jenkins continues to unfold, new court documents obtained by popular US media outlet, The Shade Room, has outlined domestic abuse within the Jenkins household.
According to The Shade Room’s reports, there have been atleast three or four incidents of alleged abuse meted out toward Mai by the rapper. The paperwork also cites Mai’s concerns about the rapper’s alleged drinking problems and violent tendencies.
The motion also discusses concerns for their two-year-old’s safety. According to the documents, the minor child was vacated from the Atlanta, Georgia, residence after concerns were raised about an unsecured firearm in the home.
In an alleged response to the most recent allegations against him, Jeezy released a statement via social media on Thursday. In his statement, the rapper said he found the recent allegations “deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved.”
He went on to share that the accusations are an attempt to tarnish his character while disrupting his family.
“It’s disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play,’ he continued outlining that at this time, his main concern is being an “active father” to the daughter he shares with Mai.
He went on to assure the public that the truth will be revealed as he continues to pursue the proper legal channels as the divorce process unfolds.
