‘Adam-antly’ Jamaican!
Adam Stewart is in a mood, and there is no better time for Jamaica than when he is in the mood for pushing tourism growth — which is just about all the time.
In a forward thinking move, ahead of the summer tourist season, the Sandals Resorts International (SRI) boss has combined the awesome pull of the Caribbean’s top two super brands – Bob Marley and Sandals — to entice visitors to come jamming in alluring Jamaica.
Typically keeping his eye on the welfare of his native island in every promotional outreach for his Sandals and Beaches resort chain, Stewart has just launched a TV ad campaign offering vacation sales titled ‘Jamaica Jamming’ for Beaches and ‘Jamaica Calling’ for Sandals — across nine local resorts.
“This ad campaign exemplifies our brand promise, capturing what makes our presence in the Caribbean unparalleled,” said the Sandals executive chairman. “It is a nod to the iconic song
Jamming by the legendary Bob Marley.
“Our enduring friendship with the Marley family, spanning generations, celebrates the timeless legacy of Bob Marley’s music — a tribute to Jamaica’s soulful rhythms and resilient spirit and a true reflection of my beloved home island,” says Stewart who has been stamping his own class on his late father Gordon “Butch” Stewart’s legacy.
“Our internationally award-winning resorts spread across this vibrant island, redefine luxury. We’ve curated an unparalleled getaway for our customers from our newly designed rooms, incredible staff members, and an expanded array of amenities,” he adds.
“We do nothing without asking ourself how does it help to better Jamaica, to grow Jamaica,” Stewart stresses. “One thing that never changes is our unwavering commitment to marketing and promoting Jamaica, with as much energy and creativity as we can muster.
“When we look at how important tourism is to Jamaica and its deep impact on the quality of life of our people, I regard it as such an honour to continue to stand with tourism, to promote the magic of the country we know.”
Stewart also paid tribute to the host of Jamaicans across the length and breadth of the island who work every day to enhance the tourism product, and he applauded those who invest in the industry for looking beyond themselves and to the wider service of Jamaica.
