Arsenal face Man United in critical championship run fixture

JustBet offers Man U at odds of $6.50 to beat Arsenal

Norwich and Leeds will meet in a championship semi-final clash on Sunday as Leeds look to make an instant return to the Premier League, having been relegated last season.

Then later on Sunday, Arsenal’s relentless pursuit of their first Premier League title in over a decade sees them travelling to Manchester United, looking to heap more misery on a United side that were embarrassed by Crystal Place in midweek.

Event # 1 – ENC – Norwich vs Leeds – 6:00 AM

The race for promotion to the Premier League continues this weekend as the English Championship playoffs gets underway, with Norwich hosting Leeds in a semi-final clash on Sunday, hoping to secure their spot in the final to be played at the Wembley Stadium.

As Norwich aim for a fifth promotion to the Premier league, they will be hoping that history repeats itself as the last time they contested the playoffs they won.

Norwich ended the regular season in poor form, having won just one of their last five matches, including losing 1-0 to Birmingham on the final day of the season. However, playing at home is where Norwich excels, having gone unbeaten in their last 10 matches, with their last defeat coming at the start of November.

The form for Leeds entering this vital clash is like Norwich having won one, drawn one, and lost three of their last five matches. They were beaten 1-2 at home by Southampton on the final day of the season to culminate a disappointing end to their campaign, having looked destined for automatic promotion numerous times during the year.

Leeds lost three of their last four in what were considered must-win games, and now the ‘Whites’, Leeds, have the chance to put things right with three more games standing in their way to get back in the Premier League. They will be confident of reaching the playoffs final, having completed the double over Norwich during the regular season.

Justbet customers who made a bet for $1,500 or more from March 1 to April 28, 2024, will be entered into a draw to win a trip to the 2024 UEFA Champions League finals.

KEY STATS

● Norwich – both teams have scored in six of Norwich’s last 10 home matches.

● Leeds – have lost four of their last six championships matches home and away.

● Both sides – Norwich are unbeaten in their last 16 home matches and have scored in their last 14 home matches too. Leeds, on the other hand, have scored in 12 of their last 13 away matches.

The betting tip: Norwich win.

Event # 2 EPL – Man United vs Arsenal – 10:30 AM

Manchester United host league leaders Arsenal on Sunday, aiming to hit back from their embarrassing thrashing at the hands of Crystal Palace in midweek.

The Red Devils fell to a heavy and surprising 4-0 defeat at Selhurst Park and now face the daunting task to return to winning ways as they face the might of a rampant Arsenal side in the midst of a title fight with Manchester City and who have been scoring goals for fun in recent months.

Manchester United’s season could get from bad to worse as they have now lost 13 matches in the league after the loss to Crystal Palace, the most since the 1989/90 season, and they have conceded 81 goals, which is their most since 1976/77.

Now, with the free-scoring Gunners coming to the ‘Theatre of Dreams”, United fans are hoping that the team produces a performance akin to the one they produced when Liverpool visited a few weeks ago.

Arsenal continue their hunt for a first Premier League title in over 20 years when they travel to the out-of-sorts Manchester United on Sunday, but the Gunners, Arsenal, will be wary that anything other than a win will leave the destination of the trophy firmly in the hands of Manchester City.

Arsenal enter this crucial game in excellent form, having won each of their last four matches, including a dominant 3-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend, the 14th win in their last 16 matches in 2024.

Their dominant record in 2024 is evident by the fact that they have scored 51 goals and conceded just eight times. Indeed, in their last three matches, Arsenal thrashed Chelsea 5-0, then beat Tottenham 2-3, and brushed aside Bournemouth 3-0, and more impressively, they have won five of their last six away games in the league, scoring 19 times and conceding just twice.

Justbet customers who made a bet for $1,500 or more from March 1 to April 28, 2024 will be entered into a draw to win a trip to the 2024 UEFA Champions League finals.

•
