Laxley Stephenson aims to inspire readers to conquer challenges in new book

A certified life navigation coach and motivational speaker, Dr Laxley W Stephenson recently released his second book, A Collision With Purpose: In Pursuit of Purpose.

Launched in March in Snellville, Georgia, the 252-page book is aimed at people with personal challenges. It is a guide of how to use those obstacles to find solutions.

‘A Collision With Purpose’ includes conversations with “an international group of people” who reveal the hurdles they overcame en route to peace of mind.

Stephenson, who was born in Westmoreland, pointed to the success of gifted athletes and musicians as examples of persons achieving against the odds. Speaking on his Daily Insights YouTube show, he said they owe their accomplishments to an age-old discipline.

“How many of you have marveled at the prowess of a virtuoso musician or precision of a world-class athlete? What is the common thread that weaves through their success stories? My friends, that common thread is practice,” he said. “What is practice? Practice my friends, is the silent promise we make to ourselves to persist in the face of challenges, to learn from our failures and to rise time and time again, with resilience and determination.”

That is a consistent theme in A Collision With Purpose: In Pursuit of Purpose which is distributed through Victorious You Press.

Stephenson is founding director, president and CEO of Global Humanity Network, Inc, a nonprofit agency that promotes humanity in underdeveloped communities around the world.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, he is a graduate of Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His first book, UnEarthing YOU: Your Guide to Self-Discovery and Personal Growth, was released last year.

Stephenson’s third book, Daily Insights Unveiled: A Personal Odyssey to Find Purpose, is scheduled for release in September.
