St Ann woman slapped with larceny charges over missing pastries from restaurant
ST ANN, Jamaica — A 34-year-old businesswoman of Exchange, Ocho Rios in St Ann has been charged with larceny as a servant and simple larceny after an audit revealed that more than $3 million worth of cocoa bread and patties from a local restaurant were unaccounted for.
Charged is Shana Llewelyn.
According to reports from the Ocho Rios police, a manager for the restaurant for which Llewelyn was a supervisor, realised the inventory was missing during a visit to the location in July 2023. An audit was subsequently done which revealed that the restaurant lost revenue amounting to J$3,659,742.
Llewelyn was subsequently taken into custody and a question and answer interview done in the presence of her attorney after which she was charged with the offences.
Her court date is being finalised.
