Jump-starting your financial future
BAILEY...don’t stay stagnant; it’s one of the worst things you can do...Successful people constantly adapt and grow. If you’re reading this article it’s because you’re ready to take the next leap, so make it happen

Jump-starting your financial future

KEISHA Bailey, CEO of Profit Jumpstarter, is on a mission to shatter the mindset that wealth is unattainable for many.

“If it can happen for me, it can happen for you,” she said in an interview with the Jamaica Observer, sharing her journey of overcoming humble beginnings to become a successful financial consultant and author.

Bailey’s company, Profit Jumpstarter, focuses on providing financial education and consulting services to empower individuals with wealth-creation strategies. Her motivation to venture into financial education stems from her own experiences growing up in August Town, St Andrew, where access to financial guidance and resources was scarce.

“I didn’t have access to a lot of opportunities because I didn’t have money, and it felt like, you know, lack of money created more struggles for my life,” she shared.

But Bailey’s journey has led her to a profound realisation: Wealth creation is not limited to any particular group or demographic. She discovered that, by learning and applying certain principles anyone can acquire wealth — regardless of their background or circumstances. As she reflected on her career transition with Sunday Finance, Bailey shared her reasons for leaving her job as a portfolio manager in Toronto, Canada.

“I really want to be in an independent space where I can freely give information. And the second thing was around family,” she said, highlighting her desire for autonomy and flexibility in her work.

After two decades in the financial sector Bailey finally gathered the courage to strike out on her own, starting her company with a mission to empower everyday people to reach the next level. She teaches the same strategies used by billionaires, demystifying wealth creation and making it accessible to all. Despite operating for over three years, Bailey faces a significant challenge: convincing people of their own worthiness and potential.

“A lot of people are shackled by their circumstances,” she observed. “They see their present situation as their eternal situation. When I show them different opportunities that are available to them, they don’t want to see it,” she said, highlighting the entrenched mindset that must be overcome.

To help clients overcome their limiting beliefs, Bailey had to share her personal story, vulnerably showcasing her own journey to financial success. Initially, her business focused on online educational content but she soon realised the importance of community and human connection. By hosting wealth-building conferences and financial workshops Bailey created a supportive environment that fostered growth and networking opportunities. The events proved to be a game-changer, significantly expanding her client base and professional network. Profit Jumpstarter has taken another significant step in fostering a community of wealth builders with the launch of the Profit Jumpstarter Academy. This innovative platform offers members access to a network of like-minded investors, comprehensive financial education, and exclusive resources through strategic partnerships. The academy’s mission is to empower individuals to reach the next level in their wealth-building journey.

Profit Jumpstarter has achieved remarkable growth since its launch, expanding its client base to over 300 and attracting 60 academy subscribers within just two months. Bailey’s vision of a supportive community where individuals can learn, grow, and thrive together was fast becoming a reality.

“I was surprised,” Bailey admitted. “Our aim is to grow the platform into the thousands because one of our major aims is to have a very large community of people, because we believe in the value of a community around financial enablement and empowerment.”

It has also made a significant impact on social media, with its content and resources reaching over 30,000 individuals across its platforms. The company’s upcoming conference, scheduled for August 16-18 this year at AC Hotel Kingston, promises to be its most comprehensive event yet. Bailey has assembled a line-up of international experts to share insights on cutting edge topics such as global real estate investing, scaling sales and marketing strategies in the digital age, and the applications of generative artificial intelligence.

“Our clients are investors who want to get to that next level but they realise that they need some support to get there. They’re looking for someone to show them the way, guide them, and provide access to help them reach the next level,” Bailey shared with Sunday Finance, shedding light on the company’s target audience.

In a bid to make the conference and academy more accessible Bailey has priced them affordably, with the conference ticket costing just US$100 and the academy subscription priced at US$100 per month. This move aims to democratise access to financial education and empowerment, aligning with Bailey’s vision of creating a supportive community for investors.

Bailey’s forward vision for the business is to scale digitally, leveraging technology to expand the reach and grow the business virtually, with the goal of impacting a large number of people.

“Don’t stay stagnant; it’s one of the worst things you can do,” Bailey urged. “Successful people constantly adapt and grow. If you’re reading this article it’s because you’re ready to take the next leap so, make it happen!”
