Celebs flock Essynce brunch
Celebrities from the music, sports and business fraternities were among those in attendance at Essynce Fashionable Brunch, which took place on June 23 at Pollyana’s on Stanton Terrace in St Andrew.
The third staging of the event saw patrons arriving dressed to impress.
Spin masters Shukkle Bus with Fast Car, DJ Mario, and ZJ Chrome ignited the musical wheels of steel and patrons could not resist ‘busting’ a dance move while feasting on delectables courtesy of Timber Lounge, Little Ceasar’s, Popeyes, and Holiday Snacks.
Football star Leon Bailey; Olympian Asafa Powell; and entertainers Bounty Killer, Popcaan, Christopher Martin, and Moyann; along with music producer and recording artiste Suku from Ward 21 were among those enjoying the vibes.
The music selections ranged from 1990s hip hop and rhythm and blues, to hits from the 2000s and current hard-core dancehall offerings, giving patrons a variety of genres to dance to.
Event coordinator Carlo Champino says this staging has been the biggest to date.
“For this staging we grew to 1,378 patrons in attendance, which for us was a tremendous improvement on our December staging last year, where we had 850 patrons in attendance. For us the highlight of all our events is seeing the result of all the months of planning come together and patrons coming out as fashionable as they did,” Champino told the Jamaica Observer.
He also shared how the event has evolved since its first staging.
“I would say the event has evolved rapidly thanks to the support of our title sponsor Remy Martin. We started with a modest 500 or so patrons and their support was never questioned. Other brands like Popeyes, Little Caesars, Krispy Kreme, Barilla pasta, Holiday Snacks took their lead and partnered with us for this staging, and I must say that support was like rocket fuel,” said Champino.
