Derrimon @ The Food Awards

Thursday Food shares highlights from Derrimon Trading Co Ltd’s unforgettable appearance at the Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards, powered by Mastercard. Brands represented were On the Spicy Hill Farms, Arosa Limited and Delect Foods. The booth’s theme, “Caribbean Soirée, celebrating 25 years”, was brilliantly executed by event planner Melanie Miller. The front of the booth featured pallet garden furniture from Derrimon Trading’s sister company, Woodcats, along with mini tropical centrepieces from Bistro Tables. Woodcats was also responsible for the 20’ x 30’’ rustic but elegant space that also featured custom etched logos of the three featured brands by Luna Ideation. The booth’s ceiling had a large floral centrepiece that comprised tropical blooms like bird-of-paradise, torches, Boston ferns, monstera leaves, fan palms and red/pink ginger lilies. Rattan lanterns were placed around the floral centrepiece.

The non-stop flow of patrons inside the Derrimon booth spoke to the deep camaraderie and mouth-watering fare. On the Spicy Hill Farms had their menu prepared by the well-loved Chef Alex D-Great. Arosa, a wine bar with a garden feel, had an array of wines from across the region, paired with a Charcuterie Grazing Bar. Delect Foods, covered by Select Grocers Chefs Lisa Gabay & Ryan Boxe focused on the pasta line from Delect and fruit cordials made into delicious drinks.
