Three producers, Gego Lee Music, King Levels, and Axios Records have combined their musical talents to release the song Designer, which was recorded by dancehall artiste Quada.

Designer was released last month.

The Portmore-based Fabian “Gego” Lee, who is originally from Majesty Gardens in St Andrew, spoke to the Jamaica Observer recently about working with Quada.

“You know, it was just natural. We were at a seafood restaurant on the beach — me and Quada — and we were just vibing to the beat and him just say, ‘Gego, listen dah hit song here, Designer beat, Designer beat. And me just say, ‘Let’s work!’ And him say, ‘Ready!’ And from that me and Skull from King Levels records just go to the studio and voice him and it was just history,” said Gego Lee.

He added: “He is a talented artiste, and he knows how to bring a song to life.”

Designer is a fashion-based track which embodies the dancehall culture’s style and swag and targets patrons who plan to attend the major summer events, such as The Best Weekend Ever, Dream Weekend, Reggae Sumfest, among others.

Gego Lee is known for his work with young, up-and-coming acts such as Shawn Ice, 21 Law, and Full Maxx. He is elated to be a part of the project.

“I’ve just recently started my record label and to be working alongside record label owners, King Levels and Axios, on a joint production for a well-known artiste such as Quada is an accomplishment for me”, the producer shared.

In February, Gego Lee released his début project titled Out a Focus rhythm.

Quada is best known for the hit songs New Gyal Alert, Celebration, Best Friend, Hail, and Pain.

Two years ago he received a BRIT certification for the song Billions featuring Popcaan, which was featured on the silver certified various artistes compilation Top Boy: A Selection of Music Inspired, which was released by Warner Records UK.
