With the perfect blend of conditions and distance aligning with her running style, the Peter-John Parsard-trained Bootylicious stands out as the top contender to clinch the top-rated Overnight Allowance contest on this afternoon’s nine-race card.

After three encouraging efforts in more illustrious company, Bootylicious is primed to capitalise on her speed and agility over the shorter distance of five furlongs (1,000m). Having finished fourth, second, and third in her previous three outings, Bootylicious now faces a more favourable scenario on the round course.

Her last performance on May 25, 2024, saw her finish a credible third by 3 ½ behind
Ability and I Am Fred over six furlongs (1,200m), suggesting she’s on the cusp of a major victory. With a similar effort her, Bootylicious is likely to dominate the competition and claim the coveted title by a convincing margin.

Bootylicious has worked brilliantly coming into the race, having gone 35.4 for three furlongs (600m) on Saturday, July 7. Champion jockey Reyan Lewis replaces Paul Francis aboard Bootylicious.

The three-year-old and upward contest is positioned as the eighth event on the nine-race card with a post time of 4:55 pm. First race is at 12:30 pm.

Laban, consistent in his performances, seeks to finally break through and claim a coveted win. Meanwhile, Chocomo, with three local victories under his belt, is fresh from a promising third-place finish at this level on June 23 and appears the most likely to chase home Bootylicious.
