KINGSTON, Jamaica- Queen of the Dancehall, Spice, says working with veteran rapper Busta Rhymes was a humbling experience for her.  The deejay collaborated with Busta on the single ‘Round Round’, the first release off her third studio album Mirror 25, which is scheduled for an August 9 release.

‘Round Round’, which she premiered on a stage in Jamaica on Saturday night, was well- received by fans. The official video which was released two weeks ago, has racked up more than 1 million views on YouTube to date.

“Working with Busta it’s a great feeling.  Busta is an icon, a legend and for him to take time out of his busy schedule, you know he’s on tour right now, to deliver and to also walk me through the process of even getting the song together, it’s just a humbling feeling to know that someone at his status, was just able to support and do another one for the culture. So big up Busta the boss man, the legend,” Spice told Observer Online shortly after she devastated the stage at Kurrent Fest, which was held on Saturday night at the Mona Hockey Field.

This is the second time that Spice is collaborating with Busta Rhymes. In 2014, he was featured on the remix of her hit ‘So Mi Like It’.

Kurrent Fest delivered what it promised patrons. A great time was had by all. Paint, water, vibes, high energy and music.

With a high profile cadre of DJs on the line-up as well as guest performances by current chart-topper Armanii and Trinidadian soca princess Nailah Blackman, Kurrent Fest had the winning formula.

“My new album will also feature a collaboration with Chronic Law titled Gangsta and that song is coming out this week, so look out for it,” Spice said.

Mirror 25 capsulates Spice’s 25 years in the music industry and although she is coy about releasing too much details, she hinted that fans will enjoy the music.

“Make sure you all support the album because I’m celebrating 25 years and you know 25 years is a very big thing. I’m just excited to still be relevant after 25 years,” she disclosed.
