Shenseea continues international chart run

Landing a collaboration with a respected musician such as Nile Rodgers isn’t an easy feat. Rodgers, a veteran bassist, is the co-founder of the 1970s disco outfit Chic, which scored hits such as I Want Your Love; Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah); Le Freak; Good Times; and Everybody Dance.

Dancehall artiste Shenseea is featured on German DJ and producer Purple Disco Machine and Benjamin Ingrosso’s Honey Boy, which Rodgers plays bass on.

Honey Boy has been making its presence felt on several European charts. It peaked at #2 in Sweden, #8 in Russia, #9 in Latvia, #2 in Lithuania, #12 in Poland, and #42 on the UK Download Singles chart.

But while Honey Boy is charting its own course, Work Me Out by Shenseea featuring Afrobeats star Wizkid has re-entered the Nigeria Hot 100 chart at #68. It peaked at #56 on the chart three weeks ago.

Now on the Billboard Global 200 chart, Santa by Rvssian featuring Rauw Alejandro and Ayra Starr continues its downward trajectory. It tumbles from #44 to #57 in its 12th week, having peaked at #24.

Santa backtracks from #37 to #44 on the Global Excluding US chart, where it rose as high as #12.

It fares better on Hot Latin Songs, inching up from #10 to #9 in its 13th week, while slipping from #13 to #16 in its 12th week on Latin Streaming Songs.

Over on Latin Airplay, Santa sprints from #33 to #25 in its 5th week, while holding firm at #9 on Latin Rhythm Airplay, where it got as high as #7.

Jump by Tyla featuring Gunna and Skillibeng continues to rise and fall on multiple charts.

On the Nigeria Hot 100, Jump leaps from #75 to #59, while over on the US Afrobeats Songs chart it slips from #3 to #4 in its 16th week.

Jump re-enters Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at #46 but stays put at #39 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.

On Hot R&B Songs, Jump steps up from #9 to #7, while moving from #26 to #24 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. The song holds firm at #17 on Rhythmic Top 40 in its 9th week on the chart.

Moving now to the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers log 235 non-consecutive weeks at #1, while Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul inches up to #2.

Shaggy’s The Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection dips to #3, while World on Fire, Set in Stone, and Wisdom by Stick Figure are #4, #5 and #6.

UB45 by UB40 returns at #7, so too Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Rastaman Vibration at #8.

Greatest Hits by UB40 slams dunks its way down to #9, and Here Comes the Hotstepper by Ini Kamoze slips two rungs down to #10.

On regional charts, Not Taking No by Peter G spends a third week at #1 on the South Florida Reggae chart.

Let Me Help You by Beres Hammond moves from #5 to #3, while Maybe by Kashief Lindo steps up from #7 to #5.

Can’t Sleep at Night by Sanchez and Althea Hewitt debuts at #22, while You’re Leaving Me by George Nooks enters at #25.

Over on the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart, Hezron and Beenie Man remain at #1 with Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, while Ed Robinson’s I’m Not a Guy rises from #21 to #18.

Willie Lynch Syndrome by Natural Black moves from #23 to #20, while
Ting a Ling by The Blackstones and I Miss You by Empress Uneek enter at #29 and #30, respectively.

Tyla.
