France is in the state of decadence. The display of their culture at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris was blasphemous and sickening. It was a freak show that was meant to be sophisticated, showing France to be a effete and avant garde. It had the opposite effect, showing that France is a people without soul and respect for people outside their world and the Lord God himself.

Also, France shows itself to be snobbish, scorning people who have faith as simpletons and idiots because they adhere to a world of mystery and God as a central reality in their lives.

Christians do believe in a one true God, Jesus Christ, who brought forth a world of culture, education, charitable works, family life, and love from our souls.

On global television, the world saw with horror our Christian God, disgraced and mocked. Last Friday, July 26, a disgraceful mockery was made of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, featuring a drag queen and her 12 homosexual ‘sisters’ presented as the Lord Jesus and His 12 disciples at the Last Supper. Barbara Butch an obese, lesbian DJ played the part of our Lord and Saviour with 12 other drag queens.

Barbara Butch represents the new bible of a modern age of gays. It is meant to excite the new generation of believers, to shock and to give imagery and multiply a new generation of believers in a LGBTQ way of living. It is horrible to believe that anyone would bring the Last Supper into a perverse world of comedy and mockery at such a noble event as the Summer Olympics.

It is strange that there is a collection of people in France with nobility and intelligence seeking such cheap laughter and pleasure at the cost of others. If they are at all sensitive, would they laugh at their own history and their own country’s spirituality filled with the beauty of saints and heroes who brought forth a spiritually heroic people; kind and generous and mystical.

Now there is a reverse of everything. That which was once beautiful is now grotesque. That is what we now have as a showpiece of France in the Olympic 2024. The modern world was now to learn at the Olympics to take pleasure in ugliness. It is a horrifying, sad, and disturbing state of affairs.

We, Christians, who believe at different levels in our Lord Jesus Christ, whose works astonish and continue to astonish men and women, children, and old folks, must continue to give hope and the will to live to everyone. Never stop loving the Lord. The greater the battle the sweeter the victory.

Many of us faced the opening ceremony at the Olympics, a week ago, which ridiculed billions of Christians all over the world. The LGBTQ community were cheering the insults hurled at the Christians who believe that Jesus transformed the bread and wine into His body and blood.

Can many good and honest Christians live in faith in a world that laughs and ridicules them as Christ was mocked and laughed at, and, finally, persecuted and martyred?
