Hill lauds developers of luxury complex in Jacks Hill

MINISTER of Industry, Investment, and Commerce Senator Aubyn Hill has argued that innovative real estate projects like the Spyglass development in Jacks Hill, St Andrew, can drive economic growth and enhance the quality of life in the Corporate Area.

“Spyglass is more than just a development – it is a symbol of Jamaica’s commitment to sustainable growth and modern living,” said Hill as he addressed the official launch of the development last Saturday,

“We are witnessing an unprecedented wave of real estate developments across the country —from the transformative waterfront projects in Montego Bay to the ambitious mixed-use developments in Kingston. Each of these projects is a step towards our goal of making Jamaica a global destination for both tourism and investment.

“Spyglass, with its blend of luxury and sustainability, is a shining example of how we can attract high-value investments while preserving our natural heritage. It is developments like these that will continue to push our economy forward, creating jobs, and enhancing the standard of living for all Jamaicans,” added Hill.

In the meantime Peter Jervis, principal engineering consultant and project manager for Spyglass, highlighted what he described as the environmentally conscious approach taken for the development.

“From the very beginning our vision for Spyglass was to create a development that not only offers unparalleled luxury but also embraces sustainability at its core. We took great care in selecting materials and technologies that minimise environmental impact – from energy-efficient lighting and appliances to the use of native plants in our landscaping. This is not just about building homes; it’s about setting a standard for environmentally responsible living in Jamaica,” said Jervis.

The development, which comprises apartments and townhouses, features green spaces, walking trails, and recreational facilities that promote wellness and an active lifestyle.
