‘Brand new’ music coming — Rondell Positive

Gospel artiste to lead praise and worship at PAN 2024 Grand Finals

Rondell Positive, who is best known for songs including Fire Medley, Your Will be Done, I’ll Never Change and Sticks nor Stones, has been busy in recent years performing locally and overseas, in his bid to spread the message of God.

The gospel artiste told the Jamaica Observer that he has also been working on new music.

“Musically, I’ve been performing at events both on the island and overseas. Right now, I’m looking forward to the release of my latest single, Brand-New World, a song that addresses the state of society and governments worldwide. I’m also excited about the October release of Revolution, a radical reggae jam produced by Frankie Music,” he said.

He added that he is inspired by the fact that his music continued to reach new people and impact even more lives.

“My last release was Shunammite in 2022. What has been epic, though, is that music I released in 2012 has taken on a renewed life all over the US, with songs like Sticks nor Stones and The Mirror making their rounds,” he shared.

Having shared stages with international and local gospel acts such as Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Kirk Franklin, Travis Greene, Papa San, Kevin Downswell, and Chevelle Franklin, Rondell Positive says a major highlight of his career has been the ability to transform lives.

“So far, the highlight of what I do has been every stage where I get to share this message of hope through music, being able to sing over the next generation and witnessing people’s lives transform right before my eyes over the years,” he said.

The artiste is set to ignite the upcoming PAN 2024 Grand Finals with his own flames and spirit.

His is billed to lead praise and worship at the event on Sunday, August 25, at Independence Park, Black River, St Elizabeth, and promises a musical extravaganza like no other.

Hosted by CB Foods, the showcase was specifically designed for the entire family and has been a hit with Christians and non-Christians alike.

The artiste told the Observer he excited by this upcoming ministry at such a time as this.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to sing over, sing into, and speak over the people of St Elizabeth to encourage them forward another time and after the devastation of Hurricane Beryl. I’ll be singing life and encouragement. I’m looking forward to a great time,” said Rondell Positive.

One of the country’s most sought-after inspirational recording artistes, Rondell Positive is known as an avid speaker, kingdom teacher, purpose activator, youth advocate, mentor and philanthropist.

He enjoys performing at events like this which bring together people from all walks of life.

“I love doing events like these because I get the opportunity to impact the next generation and to share the life-giving and transforming message of Jesus Christ through authentic reggae music,” Rondell Positive shared.

Patrons will be taken on a journey of praise and worship courtesy of the multi-award-winning gospel artiste.

“It was an easy decision for me to perform at this event. The mission and vision are to ‘go into the world and share the message of restoration and renewal of humanity’ alongside the powerful message of who we are as Jamaicans under God. I’ve been invited by CB Foods several times before, and it’s a blessing to be invited again,” said Rondell Positive.

The PAN 2024 Grand Finals will see top chefs battle it out in a live cook-off, vying for a chance to win the grand prize of $1 million, courtesy of CB Foods.

The competition will be fierce as the second- and third-place winners will also take home impressive cash prizes of $750,000 and $500,000, respectively.

Winners will also receive prizes from PAN 2024 partners CB Chicken, National Baking Company, Red Stripe, JN Money, Walkerswood, Grace Foods, and Wisynco.

With 32 competitors, including three wild cards and the Walkerswood Jerk Festival champion, representing all 14 parishes, the stage is set for an epic event.
