Klean Kulture — the Jamaican tour concierge
Founder and CEO of Klean Kulture, Kemar Jackson.

Klean Kulture — the Jamaican tour concierge

‘Travel Klean in Paradise’ is what hospitality sector start-up Klean Kulture Tours wants for patrons of its services which offers airport pick-ups, island excursions and nightlife escorting.

The company started in 2020 by tour operator and CEO Kemar Jackson, more popularly referred to as the ‘Klean Kulture boss’, operates primarily out of Montego Bay, St James, but also caters to clients in other parishes.

“Klean Kulture Tours offers a unique service, guiding our guests, who are mainly tourists, in having some of the most unforgettable adventures as we expose them to the island’s vibrant culture while helping them to create memories that will last a lifetime,” Jackson said in sharing details about his company with the Jamaica Observer recently.

“Our mission is to provide unparalleled experiences to all our guests, ensuring that every moment spent with us is guided by respect, honesty, integrity, and service. With a vision to be the finest hospitality tour company in the Caribbean, we specialise in island tours to breathtaking attractions while also offering reliable airport transfers. We are your Jamaican concierge,” the mission statement added.

No stranger to the hospitality and tourism sector, Jackson, who has years of experience in catering to tourists while working at one of the island’s most premier hotels on the north coast, said his will to start the company stemmed from a natural passion to share some of the island’s most precious gems with visitors.

His client base, now largely made up of couples and families, who come for visits to the island and to experience the black, green and gold culture, are from the time of pick-up treated to a warm welcome, only cooled by an ice-cold beer or refreshing coconut water.

“In addition to all our other courtesies, we are very time oriented, arriving for pick-ups 20-30 mins early. Another competitive advantage is that we always wear the company uniform when on duty, making it easy for our clients to identify us the minute we pull up at pick-up points,” Jackson said.

“For airport pickup, customers can also request KFC, patties, fresh fruits and various Jamaican snacks,” he further noted.

The four-year-old business in curating packages for special occasions, the tour operator said, continues to innovate, extending additional services to persons interested in celebrating treasured life moments such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and honeymoons.

“As concierge extraordinaire, our guests are provided the opportunity to surprise their partners when celebrating these special moments with their choice of champagne, floral arrangements or customised gift baskets or balloons,” the charismatic entrepreneur said.

Acknowledging that his business like most others do have challenges, the Klean Kulture boss said that it is in finding creative ways to navigate each that helps to establish his company as a viable competitor in the tour market, helping it to become a much sought-after one.

“One of my greatest achievement is that the Klean Kulture brand has now been established locally and internationally. In not taking for granted the needs of our clients, we continue to exceed customer expectations, ensuring at all times that we provide them with an engaging and memorable trip,” Jackson said.

Pleased with the level of take-up for the services offered, much of which are now mainly promoted on social media and through client testimonials, Jackson said the aim is to grow the business multi-folds leading up to the 10-year anniversary.

Already earning enough revenues to sustain its thriving operation, the focus of the company over the short-term period, he said, is to further grow its clientèle. This, as it targets more group bookings and VIP visitors.

“VIP tours will also become a part of our next set of offerings as we look to add high-end vehicles that are carefully equipped with well-trained and highly motivated staff. At Klean Kulture Tours we aim to turn dream vacations into reality, immersing visitors in the vibrant culture of Jamaica through our guided tours and unforgettable adventures,” Jackson said.
