$2m ganja seizure in Runaway Bay, woman among those arrested

ST ANN, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the St Ann Police Division seized 200 pounds of compressed ganja valued at $2 million during a targeted raid at a dwelling in Runaway Bay, St Ann on Friday, September 06.

Reports from the police are that between 4:45 pm and 7:00 am, lawmen were in the area when a premises was searched. During the search, the ganja was found in one of the bedrooms.

Three men and one woman were arrested in relation to this seizure. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
