Sutherland provides breakfast for 450 students of Holy Family Primary School

IN a heart-warming initiative, the leadership team of Sutherland Jamaica, one of the largest business process and outsourcing (BPO) companies operating in Jamaica, provided breakfast for 450 students at the Corporate Area-based Holy Family Primary School on Thursday.

This was part of the company’s ongoing support for local schools through its Sutherland Difference Programme.

The programme is open to all employees who have a passion for philanthropy and want to make an impact in their communities.

As part of this commitment, Sutherland provided a grant to support a school within the vicinity of its operational site on South Camp Road, with Holy Family Primary being a selected beneficiary.

On this occasion, the breakfast menu included franks and beans, fried and boiled dumplings, and tea, ensuring the children received a nutritious meal to start their day.

“We believe that a healthy diet is vital for children’s growth and development, providing them with the energy and focus they need to succeed in their studies. By offering a balanced meal, we are not only nourishing their bodies but also supporting their overall well-being.

“We are thrilled to have made a positive impact on their lives today, and we hope to continue fostering healthy habits and educational success in our community,” said Venton Brown, associate vice-president, human resources at Sutherland Jamaica.

She pointed out that Sutherland actively encourages its employees to recommend charitable initiatives that benefit the community.

This initiative underscores Sutherland’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and its commitment to fostering community well-being.
