GRACEKENNEDY (GK) has invested over $70 million in back-to-school initiatives for the 2024/2025 academic year.

GK’s annual back-to-school support is led by GraceKennedy’s two foundations, the Grace & Staff Community Development Foundation (Grace & Staff) and the GK Foundation (GKF).

This year, Grace & Staff has expanded its tuition assistance programme, increasing its investment from $34.9 million to $40.4 million. The programme supports over 1,500 Jamaican secondary and tertiary students annually, covering school fees, lunch, and travel costs.

Meanwhile, GKF is awarding over 100 scholarships and bursaries valued at more than $27 million. Through the GK Campus Connect Food Bank, GKF will also provide monthly grocery packages to 300 students from The University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona campus, University of Technology, Jamaica and Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, while supporting broader feeding programmes on each campus throughout the year.

GK’s subsidiaries are also actively supporting back-to-school initiatives across the island with a range of promotions and donations.
