The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) hosted “A Tasteful Exchange: Norway Meets Jamaica” at ROK Hotel recently, showcasing its Saltfish from Norway brand. The event highlighted the deep culinary and cultural connections between Norway and Jamaica, emphasising the themes of health, sustainability, and the quality of Norwegian seafood.

Guests enjoyed a unique salt fish pairing experience, with innovative salt fish dishes prepared by resident chefs at ROK Hotel. The event was a testament to the rich gastronomic ties between the two nations, featuring a fusion of flavours that celebrated their cultural bond.

The event also featured distinguished guests from the food industry, the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, and the National Fisheries Authority, highlighting the broader efforts to deepen the cultural exchange and enhance the appreciation of Norwegian salt fish.

Through this event, the NSC underscored its ongoing efforts to foster meaningful cross-cultural engagement and to celebrate the shared culinary heritage of Norway and Jamaica and to introduce new and innovative salt fish recipes. The Business Social now gives you the highlights.
