This method allows you to create a detailed plan to reach your desired position by analysing the profiles of individuals already in roles that you aspire to hold in your dream company.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you map your career on LinkedIn:

1.Search for the Company: Identify the company you’re interested in working for and search for it on LinkedIn.

2.Find a Relevant Profile: Look for someone currently holding the position you aspire to achieve one day. For example, if you want to be a marketing manager at a particular company, find someone who currently holds that title.

3.Screenshot the Role: Once you’ve found their profile, screenshot the role description, including their responsibilities, listed skills, and qualifications.

4.Analyse the Role: Use tools like ChatGPT or similar platforms to analyse the role. Paste the screenshot and ask it to create a career map. Request a breakdown of:

•The degrees, certifications, or short courses you would need to qualify for this role.
