Fans of freshly-freed dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel are being urged to make use of an upcoming Black Friday sale which will see prices for the Bleacher’s tickets to his Freedom Street concert being cut in half.

In an announcement made at Wednesday’s official launch of the highly-anticipated New Year’s Eve event, Kartel revealed that come November 29 and 30, the Bleachers tickets will cost approximately US$75, down from US$150.

He said the discount is being offered in response to concerns over high ticket prices expressed by some of his fans.

“Vybz Kartel we represent the poor people. We love all demographics but we represent for the Gaza fans dem and mi affi represent for the poor people so for Black Friday, we will be having a 50 per cent off sale for the bleachers,” he said. “A nuff people did a say Kartel, di ticket dem too dear and so for that weekend only, they will get half off. If yuh come Monday morning, yuh dead inna di show.”

The entertainer also spilled a few details about the event, revealing that it will be filled with surprises. In addition to acts like Spice, Skillibeng and his sons, Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi, Kartel disclosed that the show will be a “reunion” featuring a number of the acts he helped establish through his Portmore Empire collective.

“It’s going to be an amazing reunion. All the dancehall enthusiasts, more importantly and especially the Portmore Empire people, it’s going to be crazy. The usual suspects will be there. Expect everyone that you know and love through the Portmore Empire. Sheba is gonna be there, Tommy Lee, Popcaan, Lisa Hyper, Shawn Storm so people affi come out and expect greatness on the night.”

Kartel added that a number of international guests will also be passing through the event including Busta Rhymes, a certain Canadian rapper as well as superstar female rappers.

Gates to Freedom Street set for the National Stadium will be opened at 4:00 pm. Vybz Kartel, who said he has been maintaining a rigorous fitness schedule consisting of gym and yoga sessions, said he will be giving fans three hours of quality entertainment.

“Fi all a who think say Vybz Kartel nah work out, I’m in the Kim (because we nuh gym). We doing the ‘kim-nastics, we doing the yoga. It’s gonna be amazing. Three-hour performance, we doing the training every morning and every evening so don’t worry. Get ready to step into the future with me on New Years Eve. It is an experience and it will be magical.”
