Bootylicious tipped to win St Elizabeth Distaff

Tomorrow’s $1.5-million St Elizabeth Distaff promises to be an exciting contest, featuring 10 talented fillies and mares competing in the Overnight Allowance event over one mile (1,600m).

The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide analyses each runner’s chances below.

1. ALL FOR LOVE: (4 ch f by Nuclear Wayne – Princess Sallema) – Unlikely to contend.
Note: Figure-8 on.

2. GRECIAN LIGHT: (3 b f by Girvin – Mo Zin) – Should have no problem going the distance. Grecian Light is expected to run well here.

3. SHE’S MY FRIEND: (5 b m by Natural Selection – My Friend Lucy) – Has no realistic chance of winning.
Note: Tongue-tie off.

4. POWER FROM ABOVE: (4 ch f by Key To Power – Blufield) – Finished fifth by 8 lengths behind Oasis Jak and Grecian Light at 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m). Power From Above should improve with extended trip.
Blinkers off; Visor on.

5. JOY IS GOLDEN (USA): (4 b f by Goldencents – Sylvan Light) – Running some decent races of late and that should be the same here.
Tongue-tie on.

6. PROVOCATIVA (USA): (5 dk b/br m by Protonico – Audacious) – Will struggle to keep up. Note:
Blinkers off.

7. DIGITAL ONE (USA): (3 b f by Uncle Lino – Legal Redemption) – Came home in third place behind Perfect Brew and Money Market over 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m) on October 6. Digital One should go better over this distance and could lead home rival here.
Note: Visor off.

8. BOOTYLICIOUS: (4 b f by Key To Power – Keep The Faith) – Super-talented filly who returns after a 118-day break. Bootylicious last raced on July 14 over 5 furlongs (1,000m) round where she won easily by 5 ½ lengths in 1:00.0. She has trained really well for this race and is tipped to win.

9. SISTREN TREASURE (USA): (4 b f by Brethren – Katira) – Capable foreigner who is expected to be a strong contender here.

10. BABYLIKE: (5 dk b m by Savoy Stomp – Ladylike) – Is going to be behind in this one.
