Mona High, Excelsior through to ISSA Walker Cup semis

KINGSTON, Jamaica— Mona High and Excelsior High are through to the semi-finals of the ISSA Walker Cup following quarterfinal wins at Stadium East on Wednesday.

In the second game of the double-header, soon to be dethroned Manning Cup champions Mona had a comfortable 3-0 win over St Jago. Savi-K Morton, Kshaine Gordon and Cameron Sailman were the goal scorers.

In the opening game, Excelsior needed penalties to get by Eltham High. After a goalless 90 minutes, Excelsior held their nerve to advance 7-6 on penalties.

The remaining semi-finalists will be decided on Thursday at Stadium East when Campion College take on St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) at 2:00pm, and Tivoli Gardens battle Wolmer’s Boys’ at 4:15pm.
