Non-drinker wins dream Miami trip with Heineken Credentials

Non-drinker wins dream Miami trip with Heineken Credentials

Teetotaller Cecile Brown admitted that she had dreamt of winning the all-inclusive trip to South Beach, Miami, on offer in the Heineken Credentials campaign when she purchased a six-pack of Heineken 0.0 at Shoppers Fair in Duhaney Park, St Andrew.

But even while the prize was on her mind, Brown revealed that since 2017 when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, she was drawn to Heineken 0.0’s crisp, refreshing taste without the alcohol.

On November 7 Brown’s dream turned into reality as she learnt she had won the ideal vacation in the Heineken Credentials Perfectly Brewed Fan Experience, which now she plans to share with her friend, Marcia Henry.

Brown’s prize offers an indulgent, all-inclusive escape to Miami where she and her guest will immerse themselves in the city’s finest experiences. Their itinerary boasts a VIP dinner at the exclusive Giselle Miami, an exhilarating night at the renowned Club E11even, and an unforgettable culinary journey at Red Rooster Overtown, guided by the esteemed Chef Marcus Samuelsson.

“I couldn’t believe it when I won,” Brown exclaimed, her voice trembling with excitement.

“As a trades promotion supervisor I’ve spent days helping others make their dreams come true through promotions like these, so to be on the receiving end of such an incredible opportunity is truly heart-warming.

“I had high hopes of being named the winner, and watched my phone day after day, waiting for the call from the Heineken team. Funny enough, when the call finally came I missed it the first time, but I quickly called back because I knew it was my time to shine — and I did just that,” she said.

Brown said that after her diagnosis he made the decision to adapt her lifestyle to better manage her health and well-being.

Her curiosity was ignited when she first discovered Heineken 0.0, a refreshing, non-alcohol option that aligns with her new approach to living.

“When I first tried Heineken 0.0 I was genuinely surprised by how well it captured the essence of the original. It delivered a crisp, satisfying taste, without the alcohol,” declared Brown.

Now, she routinely picks up a six-pack to share with friends — particularly those who, like her, enjoy the taste of the premium beer brand while prioritising responsible choices in their consumption.

Despite her health challenges, the responsible drinker continues to live a full life. She is the first to join her friends for their lively Friday night domino club where laughter, dancing, and camaraderie flow freely.

“I don’t let my illness define me. I still dance, joke around, and enjoy life — and now Heineken is helping me do that in the most luxurious way possible, with my friend Marcia by my side,” added Brown.

And the timing could not have been better as Brown was planning a shopping trip to the United States. Now, instead of just shopping she gets to enjoy an all-expenses-paid getaway, offering so much more than she had imagined.

“I had to call my friend and get back my money swiftly,” Brown said with a laugh. “Heineken surprised me with the ultimate experience and I cannot be happier.”

Heineken Junior Brand Manager Hanna Turner, who will act as chaperone for the South Beach trip, is equally excited for Brown and Henry.

“It’s truly rewarding to see someone like Cecile, who has been a long-time consumer of Heineken, enjoying our brand in a way that perfectly aligns with her lifestyle. This is exactly why we expanded our portfolio to include Heineken 0.0 — to offer a premium experience that caters to all preferences.

“Along with our signature Heineken beer and the latest addition, Heineken Silver, our alcohol-free option allows everyone to enjoy the same high-quality experience, regardless of their choices,” said Turner.

“The Heineken Credentials crew will enjoy the best of Miami from November 21–25, soaking up the city’s stunning sights while indulging in the premium experiences that only Heineken can provide,” a news release from the company said.

Cecile Brown can hardly contain her joy after winning the Heineken Credentials Perfectly Brewed Fan Experience’, securing an all-inclusive getaway to South Beach, Miami.
