Ahead of its 20th anniversary celebrations early next year, Acropolis Gaming Lounge, a staple of the local entertainment scene, has unveiled a dazzling transformation that promises an elevated experience for its patrons.

The state-of-the-art makeover, featuring new gaming machines, a chic modernised space, and a reimagined food and drink menu, were unveiled to guests and the media on Wednesday night at its Barbican Centre location.

Christel DeRizzio, assistant vice-president of gaming operations at Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL), operators of the Acropolis Gaming Lounge, said she’s proud of the renovations and the space can now accommodate over 220 customers.

“From concept to completion it took 6 months. We maintained our regular opening hours during the period to ensure our customers could keep enjoying their favourite games. We have also put a lot of thought into this upgrade. We’re giving our customers a complete overhaul of their experience from the moment they enter the lounge. When they walk in they will be greeted by our new-look entrance, from there they will enter our expanded gaming floor showcasing our brand-new machines among some of their familiar favourites,” DeRizzio told the Jamaica Observer.

She added: “Customers will be excited to learn that we now have a full-service premium bar in the lounge, and they will be able to get amazing food from our new bar snacks menu… We have the best and latest gaming machines, offering not only more winning opportunities, but customers can get even bigger winnings with progressive jackpots providing multiple ways to win.”

Asked the level of investment that went into the revamp, DeRizzio said: “We invested $250 million into doing a floor to ceiling transformation of the lounge.

SVL Chairman Gary Peart, for his part, said: “These upgrades reflect our dedication to providing a world-class gaming experience… We’ve combined cutting-edge technology with the vibrant energy that has always defined Acropolis.”

An exclusive collaboration with Select Brands saw the bar stocked with premium spirits and specialty cocktails created just for the evening, adding a unique flair to the celebrations.

Whether guests are there to try their luck at the games, indulge in the new culinary offerings, or simply unwind, the space is designed to provide comfort and sophistication in equal measure.

The Acropolis Gaming Lounge is open Sundays to Saturdays.
