Musson Foundation awards 13 scholars at inaugural Nupak Scholarship Awards
Kingston, Jamaica – The Musson Foundation celebrated the achievements of 13 exceptional students at the inaugural Nupak Scholarship Awards Ceremony last week.
The young scholars were recognised for their outstanding performance in the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) examinations.
Executive Director of the Musson Foundation, Lisa D’Oyen, expressed “At the Musson Foundation, we believe that education is the cornerstone of individual and national growth. Through initiatives like the Nupak Scholarship Awards, we aim to empower the next generation by providing them with the tools to succeed, while also fostering community development.”
In her congratulatory remarks, Group Human Resource Manager, Teresa Martinez-Donaldson, commended the students for their hard work and determination.
“Today, we celebrate not only the academic excellence of these young scholars but also the support of their families and communities. The Nupak Scholarship Awards represent our belief in the transformative power of education and our commitment to nurturing talent for a brighter Jamaica.”
Managing Director of T Geddes Grant and a member of the Board of Directors of Musson Jamaica Limited, Michael Subratie, reflected on the importance of this milestone for the Foundation and the recipients.
“This scholarship is more than just a one-time accolade; it is a five-year promise of support. We encourage our scholars to remain dedicated to excellence as maintaining a reasonable academic average will ensure they continue to benefit from this opportunity throughout their high school years. He further stated that the Nupak Scholarship Awards reflects the vision of the Musson Board of Directors who see these scholarships as the cornerstone of our legacy, with this initiative becoming a part of the Musson DNA, an annual tradition that inspires us all to strive for greater things.”
The Nupak scholarship programme is one of several initiatives led by the Musson Foundation to support education and uplift communities.
