PHOTOS: PACKAL spreads holiday cheer at Port Royal Primary and Infant School

There were squeals of delight and peals of laughter recently as PAC Kingston Airport (PACKAL), operator of the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA), hosted a holiday treat for students at Port Royal Primary and Infant School.

The PACKAL team, headed by CEO Sitara Byfield-English, took on duties as “Happiness Coordinators” as they spread joy during a half-day treat at the institution.

The day’s activities featured traditional Jamaican games including dandy shandy, 1-2-3 redlight,
Simon says, ludo and hopscotch, along with a Reading Corner for students.

The children were thoroughly entertained by the PACKAL team members who also participated in the fun and games before distributing gifts to all the children.

For Byfield-English, it was time well spent.

“At PACKAL, we believe in creating meaningful connections with our community. Seeing the children’s faces light up, reinforces our commitment to making a positive impact,” she shared as she highlighted that over 70 per cent of the gifts were personally purchased by PACKAL team members.

Principal Nicola Jones noted, “This treat meant so much to our students. Many of them have never
had the Santa experience before and so, this was such a great surprise for them. From the games to
the gifts to the refreshment, everything was well thought out, and we’re grateful to PACKAL for
bringing even more joy to our school community during the holiday season.”
