MOCA searches place associated with CEO of Westmoreland parish council

A place associated with the chief executive officer of the Westmoreland Municipal Corporation was searched Thursday by the Major Organised Crime & Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA).

Director of Communications at MOCA, Major Basil Jarrett, confirmed the search took place but offered no more details

The CEO was not arrested or charged.

Sources say the probe is related to the investigation into alleged fraudulent activities at the St Catherine Municipal Corporation.

MOCA on Thursday raided 17 locations across Kingston, St Catherine and Westmoreland, including the St Catherine parish council, in connection to the major fraud probe.
