CPL organisers confirm 2025 tournament dates
GROS ISLET, St Lucia (CMC) — The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has confirmed its tournament schedule for the 2025 season, which will run from Thursday, August 14 to Sunday, September 21.
The window, established in collaboration with Cricket West Indies (CWI), ensures there will once again be no overlap with West Indies international fixtures.
The six competing teams, Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Trinbago Knight Riders and defending champions St Lucia Kings will battle across 34 matches in pursuit of the coveted 2025 CPL title.
Pete Russell, chief executive officer of Republic Bank CPL, expressed his enthusiasm for what promises to be another enthralling season.
“We are pleased to have once again worked with Cricket West Indies to secure a schedule that allows the region’s top players to participate in the CPL. Following our most successful season to date in 2024, we are eager to build on that momentum for 2025,” Russell said.
Lynford Inverary, acting CEO and chief operating officer of CWI, highlighted the importance of the CPL in the regional cricketing landscape.
“We are delighted to confirm the 2025 CPL window. The CPL is a vital component of our cricketing ecosystem, fostering growth and showcasing talent across the Caribbean. This collaboration ensures the best players are available while maintaining alignment with our international commitments,” said Inverary.
